I had a face to face consultation with Mr. Lamb on 24th November, when he sumerised the treatment I had recently undergone and the results of the biopsies and CT scan. Mr. Lamb explained everything carefully and in detail. Any questions I had, he answered in a way that I could understand. He was quite clear on all the risks and possible side effects of any further treatment that I might undertake. I found Mr. Lamb to be very approachable and knew that he was listening to everything I had to say. As a result of the consultation I am embarking on a further course of treatment. Would I recommend this Dr? Absolutely, without hesitation!

Thank you for the positive feedback. My priority is that you get as much information as you want and can make the decisions you need to, whether for surgery or a different treatment. I’m glad that you felt supported in your decision making. Good luck with your treatment.

I had a telephone consultation with Ben Lamb MBBS MA PhD FRCS (Urol.). He had a very friendly and reassuring manner and I was most pleased to discuss my condition with him. I am generally very impressed by the urology department and the speed with which they have handled my problem, in the light of the current pandemic conditions.

Mr Lamb explained comprehensively and clearly the issues involved in my condition and the possible courses of action. Although a robotic surgeon, he did not attempt to press for surgical treatment above other treatments, at a time when I am still considering which route to take. He listened carefully to the points I made and gave full answers to my questions.

Mr Lamb had a calm and reassuring way of explaining the possible causes of my symptoms and the options available to rectify or investigate further.
